Man dies after train accident in Lützelflüh-Goldbach
On Sunday morning, a 21-year-old man was hit by a train near a railway track in Lützelflüh-Goldbach and fatally injured.

According to initial findings, the man was walking in the area of the railway tracks when he was hit by a train for unknown reasons. Despite emergency braking being initiated immediately, a collision could not be prevented, as the Bern cantonal police announced.
The emergency services found a lifeless person on site. An emergency doctor could only determine that the man was dead. The deceased was a 21-year-old Swiss man from the canton of Bern. Investigations were started to clarify the background and the exact course of the accident
Rail traffic between Langnau and Burgdorf was interrupted for several hours. In addition to the police and other emergency services, a care team from the canton of Bern was also deployed to look after the people affected.
