Seven years ago, the couple Anna and Gerald Heiser came into being as part of the RTL show “Bauer sucht Frau”. The Heisers, who run a farm together in Namibia, prove that the format can demonstrate lasting dating success.
However, the image of the supposed dream life on the farm has repeatedly cracked in recent years. The project is plagued by crises, and with it the family’s existence.
The farm of “Bauer sucht Frau” star Anna Heiser is about to end
Things have probably never been as bad for the Heisers and their farm in Namibia as they are now. Anna Heiser posted a long text on Instagram on Saturday in which she reflected the current state of affairs in an apocalyptic tone.
Heiser writes of “emotionally upsetting” months. “We’ve been holding on to the dream of farm life for three years, but it doesn’t seem to be coming true.” The reasons for this, according to Heiser:
- Two years of drought
- “insane” interest rate increase
- incorrect water measurement
- broken crop
- bad prices
All of this is detrimental to the economic stability of the farm: “As of today, all the income that the farm can generate has been lost.”
These difficult financial conditions also affect the couple’s health. Heiser describes a normal state characterized by stress, lack of sleep and nausea: “The children are with their grandparents, we could sleep in. But it’s not possible. I wake up, my stomach tightens. The feeling of nausea that has been going on for days has not gone away. Gerald tosses and turns. I feel his inner unrest.”

Last gasp: Anna Heiser is combative
In the text, Heiser tries to use perseverance slogans such as “We are not yet ready for the door to close completely and we are keeping our foot in the way.” And the couple apparently needs that too. Because the Heisers probably don’t have many alternatives anymore:
“We have one more plan – the very last plan we want to try. It’s the last chance and we’re praying it works. Because we won’t leave the field without a fight.”
Just this week, Heiser announced that he had bought an apartment in Poland due to fears of poverty in old age. According to Heiser, the money spent on this could not have saved the farm either.
Ann-Kathrin Bendixen was particularly in the spotlight this year due to her participation in “Let’s Dance”. After a temporary break, she ended up in fourth place. Previously, she received widespread attention for her appearance on the survival show “7 vs. Wild.” She fought her way through the Canadian wilderness for 14 days and persevered.
