These are two men whose commitment was to save lives, who lost theirs, far too soon: “The departmental fire brigade of Loir-et-Cher has immense regret to inform you of the death, which occurred this Saturday, November 2, outside of ordered duty, of two firefighters” transmits Sdis 41, specifying that “These two firefighters were, one volunteering at the main rescue center in Vendôme and the first response center in Pezou, and the other professional at the Blois-Sud fire and rescue center and volunteer in Pezou”. The persons concerned were 21 years old.
Road accident in Pezou
“Our colleagues were traveling in a vehicle and were victims of a traffic accident, in the town of Pezou. Our thoughts go out to their family, their loved ones and their comrades, to whom we extend our full support.” we add. Among the reactions, that of Philippe Gouet, president of the Departmental Council of Loir-et-Cher: “With Philippe Sartori, president of Casdis, I would like to extend our condolences to the families of the two young firefighters who died last night in tragic circumstances. May the firefighters be assured of the affectionate support of the department in these painful moments”.
