On Saturday, shortly after 2 p.m., around 200 people gathered at the Stadtgarten and formed an unauthorized demonstration around the city center, Stadthausstrasse, Graben, Obertor, Neustadtgasse, Tösstalstrasse, Holderplatz, Technikumstrasse, Bahnhofplatz, Stadthausstrasse, Graben.
Shortly before 4 p.m. the rally on Steinberggasse broke up. The demonstrators loudly but always peacefully drew attention to their concerns.
The Winterthur city police were on site with a large number, but decided not to break up the demonstration in the interests of proportionality.
There were traffic delays
After the demonstration ended, numerous participants were checked and reported. In addition, several expulsion orders were issued and demo material was secured.
The rally led to minor traffic disruptions, especially on Technikumstrasse and at Bahnhofplatz.
