Present at the NRJ Music Awards ceremony, which took place this Friday, November 1, Slimane burst into tears when the prize for best male artist was awarded to him.

In recent days, however, his presence at this event was no longer obvious.
Slimane targeted by a complaint for sexual harassment
And for good reason, the presence of the 35-year-old singer-songwriter and actor at the NMAs constituted his first public appearance since the accusations of sexual harassment against him and, in the days leading up to the ceremony, doubt hovered as to his coming. Esmeralda’s dad is the target of a complaint filed with the Saint-Étienne (Loire) public prosecutor’s office by a former technician from his tour, according to The Parisian. The facts with which he is accused allegedly took place in December 2023 at the Zénith de Saint-Étienne, during the tour Cupidon Tour. After the concert, at a party, Vitaa’s sidekick would have “blocked against a wall” before him “impose an embrace”which the complainant allegedly refused. Secondly, Slimane allegedly sent him messages and videos of a sexual nature. Presumed to be innovative, the singer has not yet spoken directly on this subject.
Slimane deeply touched by the prize awarded to him
With a serious face upon his arrival at the NRJ Music Awards, Slimane kept a low profile all evening. After performing his hit My love with his dancers, the singer was visibly moved. And his eyes were filled with tears when he took the stage to accept the award for best male artist. “I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This one has a special taste…”, he said, his voice trembling, regarding its price. “Thank you for being there in the street, in the concerts… My daughter, when you grow up, I really hope that you will be proud of your dad, I love you”he reacted, emotion in his voice, to the applause and cries of his fans. He then wanted to send a word to his parents: “Mom and Dad, I love you very much.” Before alluding to his audience who supports him: “From one human to many other human beings, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
