While Fortnitemares is keeping players entertained across Halloween and Dr Doom’s Marvel-themed assault on Battle Royale Island continues, Epic Games has been busy drip-feeding information to us on what to expect from Chapter 5 Season 5.
Details still remain scarce, but we have information on a new live event that is set to prelude the upcoming season, as well as a glimpse at the content that’s going to be involved.
So, let’s take a break from fighting Marvel villains in Chapter 5 Season 4 and take a look at what’s in store for Fortnite over the coming few weeks.

When does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 end?
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is expected to end on Saturday 2nd November 2024.
So, make sure you make the most of the current season before then, and grab those Stark Industries Chests!
When does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 5 start?
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 5 is set to begin after the current one ends, so that will be on Saturday 2nd November 2024 after a period of downtime, as is always the case with Fortnite.
However, we now know that a live event, Fortnite Remix: The Preludeis set to precede the start of the new season.
That is due to take place on Friday 1st November at 6:30pm ETwhich is 10:30 p.m for us in the UK.
This was confirmed by Epic Games in a post on the game’s official X page on 29th October 2024, as shown below.
What do we know about Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 5?
Epic Games had made a couple of announcements about Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 5 update, although neither of them give too much away.
But then, on 29th October 2024, the game’s X page posted a new video that plays out in reverse, finishing with a logo in bold yellow letters that reads “Fortnite Remix Chapter 2”.
The video is only four seconds long, but it shows off past characters like Meowdas and unmasked Skye, which has left fans excited in the comments.
A poll posted below the video from an account named Fortnite News & Leaks asked users if they liked the battle pass skins shown in the video.
At the time of writing, there have been 2,611 votes, with 69 per cent saying “yes”.
