A few scares but 3 points against !

On this Halloween evening, the DFCO sometimes played to scare each other but ensured the essential by winning against FC (1-0) thanks to a beautiful collective goal by Alexandre Parsemain. The Reds are 7th, only 3 lengths from the podium.

In a thick fog which provided a special atmosphere for our special Halloween evening, the Gaston-Gérard stadium was almost plunged into a stupor. In stoppage time, FC Rouen thought they had equalized through Valentin Sanson, but an unjustified offside saved a victory that was far from undeserved. Because the DFCO will sometimes have shown good things offensively, before displaying interesting virtues of combativeness and self-sacrifice at the end of the match. For a new clean sheet and 3 points!

Faced with a Rouen team still looking for a first away success, the DFCO wanted to regain a certain offensive efficiency. It's done! If it is indeed the Normans who create the first opportunity, on a free kick from Ferrah slammed over by Paul Delecroix (15th), the DFCO will respond with Rayan Souici, author of a strike forcing Maraval to make a save, then by Cédric Makutungu whose shot ends above (21st). It is a school action which will lead to the opening of the score. Put into orbit by Rayan Souici on the left wing, Abd-Elmajid Djaé takes his time to find the best timing to cross. Alexandre Parsemain's call is good, the finish – a sliding tackle in front of the defender – is perfect to deceive Maraval (1-0, 29e). Strikes from Hugo Vargas-Rios and Jordan Marié then flew off target (31st and 40th), but it was especially Rouen who could have equalized before the break. At the reception of a perfect recessed center, Aït Moujane completely misses his shot which could have turned into an assist, but Diarra hits above (35th).

FC Rouen will be more ambitious in the game in the second half and will sometimes shake up the DFCO. Narrowly caught in the area (62nd), Yanis Chahid then saw Paul Delecroix be decisive against Diawoye Diarra in a one-on-one duel (63rd). The match will be lively with two teams going back to back. Jordan Marié is not far from finding the top corner (69th), while Jovany Ikanga will also miss the target, off balance, on the following action.

The Rouennais will not give up and push until the end to snatch a 7th draw of the season. Elydjah Mendy will make a valuable defensive intervention in front of Abdelmoula (72nd). The biggest opportunity will come from Jason Mbock. Well served in the area, he crosses too much his right shot which brushes the opposite post (85th). In the process, Alexandre Parsemain could have folded the matter but he missed his face-to-face with Maraval by pushing his ball too far on his last touch (87th). The last minutes are tense. Corners and crosses follow one another in the area. Although they ended up giving up, the Reds were saved by a favorable refereeing decision (93rd). For once, we take it! On the last action of the match, Adel Lembezat found the post with a nice left-handed shot (95th).

The DFCO obtains its fourth victory of the season and moves up to seventh place in the standings, 6 points behind the leader, , and only 3 lengths from Boulogne-sur-Mer (3rd). A good result before preparing for a perilous trip to the Concarneau pitch (12th day), still undefeated at home.
