The tops

Malick Fofana

His constant movement was logically rewarded at the end of the match, with this equalizing goal at the start of added time. The Belgian neo-international, at 19 years old, confirms the full extent of his potential with striking performances like this.

Jonathan David

Much less prominent than his young opponent, the LOSC scorer fulfilled his role, namely hanging around in the area needed to recover a gift and transform it into a goal as soon as the opportunity presented itself (17th) for the opening of the score. All the same, it has too little impact the rest of the time.

Rayan Cherki

For him, on the other hand, it's quite the opposite: the international Espoirs did almost everything on Friday evening, except score. But he found the crossbar in the heart of the second period (70th) and multiplied the numbers in the LOSC area, including this festival which was not converted by Alexandre Lacazette (53rd).

The flops

Moussa Niakhate

After having already almost cost a goal at the start of the match, for an unsteady pass towards his goalkeeper Lucas Perri (9th), the Lyon defender hampered Lucas Chevalier on what the Lyonnais believed to be the equalizer from Maitland-Niles (75th) finally canceled by VAR.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

The poor English international therefore saw his goal invalidated, which could have made up for his huge blunder which led to Jonathan David's goal. He could not be saved by Lucas Perri or any other teammate on his completely missed pass which therefore allowed LOSC to open the score.

Angel Gomes

If he hit the post with a magnificent free kick at the half-hour mark (32nd), he especially missed this incredible opportunity from close range at the very start of the game (9th). A bit like Maitland-Niles, and even more so, it's still a severe flop because he was also very active.
