A man is particularly wanted since the shooting in . He would be the only shooter who injured five people including a 15-year-old teenager still between life and death.

This Thursday evening, around 10:45 p.m. in Poitiers, a shooting broke out in a restaurant in the Couronneries district of Poitiers, an area known to be a stronghold of drug trafficking.

The shooting left at least five seriously injured, including one who was life-threatening. It concerns a 15-year-old teenager who was between life and death this Friday after being shot in the head.

But while the emergency services and the police took care of the injured, they were attacked by young people. Quickly, the gathering turned into a brawl between rival gangs.

If a figure of “400 to 600 people involved” had first been put forward by Bruno Retailleau sourcing the prefect of . But, Friday evening, the public prosecutor, Cyril Lacombe, indicated, during a press conference, that “the police services were in contact with around sixty people”.

“A suspect being identified”

The prosecutor who announced the opening of a flagrant investigation into attempted homicide. He mentioned the presence of a shooter. “A suspect being identified” who is the subject of “active research”.

“A search carried out today at 6 a.m. in a home in Poitiers found seven 22 long rifle ammunition and partial elements of a dismantled weapon,” said Cyril Lacombe.

“The first elements of the investigation suggest that the shooter would have engaged in the sale of narcotics in the Couronneries district in the preceding days,” declared the public prosecutor of Poitiers.

The latter further indicated that all the victims of the shooting are minors, “born in 2000 and 2009” and reside in Poitiers.

Note “that no damage was committed either to businesses or to parked vehicles, including those of the police” in the Couronneries district, declared Poitiers public prosecutor Cyril Lacombe. He specified that “calm was restored around 11:30 p.m.”.
