Tigres player, Jennifer Hermoso, received the Socrates award for her work in favor of equality in football.

The Spanish player Jennifer Hermoso received this Monday the Socrates award for his work for equality in football during the Ballon d’Or gala.

Beautifulfootballer Spanish from Tigres de Méxicostated that the award will serve to maintain awareness that “fight is the way forward” in the women’s soccer.

Hermoso received an award for the best humanitarian work made by a world-class footballer. Later, in statements to Movistar Plus and very emotional on the verge of tears, she offered her first impressions:

“Once I went up, a lot of feelings came to me. It is a super important prize. I have lived many bad moments and yes we have had a lot of support of our professional colleagues. But it was not seen. But with this award, we are aware that the fight we have is the way forward.

“There is a lot people who don’t have a speaker as big as the one we soccer players have. It was difficult for me to be aware of this, but right now I am in full fight to be heard. I want us to be heard, my future and my present is to continue in this fight and continue on the path“he added.
