Downtown amenities
». Originally from the Paris region where she lived for 40 years, Annie Busnel maintains a special link with the Blue City. “It’s a city that I’ve always loved. I discovered Concarneau when I was 14 during a school trip,” she says. During a professional transfer, the woman who had a career in administration initially settled in Quimper. After spending 20 years there, Annie Busnel decided to move a few kilometers away, to Concarneau. Last May, she found “the apartment of her dreams” in the city center, which she completely renovated. To find his property, ten months of research were necessary. Now well settled, Annie Busnel enjoys “all the amenities” near her new home. Already well integrated into community life, the Néo-Concarnoise is a member of the local AVF and the Tarot Club des Korrigans. “I like cities that are moving and for the moment, I am finding what I am looking for there. Culture is a very important subject for me and I will carefully follow what will be done with the Cac,” she reports.

I can swim every day

The latter says: “Here, you can do everything on foot, and I, who love swimming, can go to the sea every day! », savors the one who has come to settle in with her partner. The only downside: “The lack of respect for parking signs by motorists! “.

A developed commercial offer
». With his wife Judith, Pascal Bichot wanted to enjoy his retirement “in a city by the sea”, reports this commercial executive who stopped his activity in 2022. “We first wanted to go to La Rochelle but the prices were quite high . Then, we found a house in the south of Vendée, but we realized that it did not suit us,” says the couple. After a stay in Quimper, the duo from Rennes finally decided to settle in Concarneau. “But our research was not easy. It was a real struggle to find a house,” says Pascal Bichot. Now based in Lanriec, these new residents benefit from the many advantages of Concarneau: “The town is not too small and the commercial offer is developed. We also appreciate the proximity to Quimper and the national road,” they describe. But as big fans of the little queen, the couple deplores “dangerous traffic for bicycles”, as well as the lack of parking dedicated to two-wheelers in their new city.
