On the occasion of his latest album “Requiem pour un fou” released in June, David Hallyday revealed some previously unpublished secrets about his son Cameron. The 58-year-old singer was a guest on the show “En aside” this October 14. The opportunity toe talk about the 16 tracks inspired by his old songs, as well as covers by his father, Johnny Hallyday. If Cameron Smet was present in the clip, the latter does not sing in the song. David Hallyday wanted to keep the original audio version, in which the singer of “Light the fire” sings alongside him. However, he is far from being against the idea of his son following in his footsteps one day: “Cameron sings really well, I told him: “you should take singing lessons”. Since he was little, he has been singing in tune, naturally without knowing it.”
When his father proposed the idea to him, Alexandra Pastor’s son immediately accepted: “It was important for him, he wanted to do it, I didn’t force him”, confided David Hallyday before joke: “I told him: ‘you come or I won’t talk to you anymore'”.
