“Unbearable…”: The Star Academy 2024 faces its first criticisms for its return, a choice from TF1 does not please at all

A year after the launch of the season which ended with the coronation of Pierre Garnier, the Star Academy reopened its doors this Saturday, October 12. Nikos Aliagas regained his place as host and welcomed the new teaching staff, godmother Clara Luciani, to the TF1 set, but above all, he presented the 15 students of this 2024 vintage. Charles, Ebony, Emma, Franck, Marguerite, Marine, Masseo, Maurine, Maïa, Noah, Paul, Thomas, Ulysse, Julie and Maylis were selected to join the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys but before discovering it, they paraded on stage one by one.

And the candidates proved that they had not stolen their place, some already achieving very impressive performances – Ebony was particularly acclaimed on social networks, she who has a famous dad. Unfortunately, the party was somewhat spoiled in the eyes of Internet users on X (formerly Twitter), the fault of the songs which were distributed to amateur artists. Indeed, the latter were quite simply judged “ringardes” by many, between the covers of What a feeling, Happy Pharell William, ou Don’t leave without me by Celine Dion and I’m going by Florent Pagny and Patrick Fiori.

Internet users disappointed by the choice of songs

I’m tired of old people’s songs“, “No but the songs, TF1 make an effort please“, “Nerdy songs are overused“, “Unbearable songs from the first prime“, “On the other hand, when will they finally release songs from our generation?“, “Always the same songs we blow!“, “Song choices Is this evening to kill us? It’s a funeral“, we can read among others on the platform.
