It has been several decades since singer Dany Brillant conquered the French music scene. The singer of the hits Suzette et When I see your eyes was a guest on the show 50’Inside, as part of the sequence “The Portrait”. He spoke about one of his hobbies, in front of journalist Isabelle Ithurburu. He indeed seems to be keen on astrology.
The singer got to the heart of the matter as soon as he arrived on set. He first asked presenter Isabelle Ithurburu: “What sign are you?”a question to which the journalist responded: “Pisces is good, right? What shouldn’t you say?”The response seemed to suit the 58-year-old artist who responded by saying: “The Scorpions, I can’t.” A statement that made his hostess laugh.
50’Inside: Dany Brillant talks about her father’s pride in his success
During the interview, Dany Brillant spoke about his childhood. He made some confidences about the arrival of his parents in France. The latter in fact left Tunisia when he was only one year old to flee anti-Semitism. He also specified that his father, who enjoyed a good situation before emigrating, had had to start from scratch when he arrived in France. “He found himself a warehouse worker in a supermarket so the fall was quite sad all the same”, said Dany Brillant. He added : “It was still quite sad at home, it wasn’t always easy.” This experience that pushed him to become an artist: “I wanted to do a job to give him pride again,” he explained to Isabelle Ithurburu, before adding: “That’s what reparation is. Transcend melancholy, and say that there is nothing definitive, even if we have trials. I wanted to overcome them for them.” He then said: “My father was proud when he saw me, the first time I played at the Olympia. He had a kind of pride, he cried in fact.”
