The series Camping paradis changes register. The summer series run by Laurent Ournac since 2006 ventures into a new playing field: that of detective fiction. Who better than one of its flagship characters to be the hero of this new spin-off?

As revealed Tele-Leisure last November, Monsieur Parizot is in the spotlight in a film of the same name on TF1. The faithful grumpy camper played by Patrick Paroux improvises as a detective in this series broadcast Monday October 7, 2024. What is the plot of the soap opera about?

If Monsieur Parizot is a regular at the campsite run by Tom Delormes’ team, the public knows very little about him. A fiction mixing investigation and humor, like a giant Cluedo, which should please fans of the detective genre or readers of Agatha Christie. His interpreter Patrick Paroux was immediately seduced by the idea. “It’s a magnificent playground for an actor,” he observes for 7 Days TV. “When I was offered to make a film called Monsieur Parizot, I was even very curious to know what life he led, when he was not at the campsite,” says the one who almost stopped playing this character. “Obviously, after eighteen years of playing him, I asked myself questions. But, ultimately, this character amuses me.” And, here is the new cast joining him on screen.

Where did the filming take place?

Goodbye camping by the sea, hello the Grand-Est. The filming of Monsieur Parizot took place in Alsace between November 20 and December 14, 2023. Several towns such as Obernai and Turckheim served as settings to film the hero’s police adventures.

Near 7 Days TVactor Patrick Paroux admits that he knew “little” about the Alsatian region, even if he had already visited “during theater tours”. The opportunity to also screen the first images of the series to a few privileged spectators. “The reception from the public was very warm.
