In Vendée, in the village of La Bretonnière-la-Claye, a plane crashed into a low wall of a house this Monday, October 7, around 8:30 a.m. It was a single-engine tourist plane. . “Two people who were on board a small two-seater tourist plane died,” the La Roche-sur-Yon prosecutor’s office told AFP.
Quickly, 30 firefighters were deployed on site all morning to find the two people on board, trapped in the debris. A mine clearance team was also present to neutralize the aircraft’s pyrotechnic systems.

An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the accident, while the intervention zone remains closed to access for the moment. The municipality offered a medical-psychological emergency unit to support people in the neighborhood affected by the crash and also relocated two residents.
