The “Compass” program

This program is aimed at patients with an early relapse of triple negative breast cancer, that is to say occurring during the initial treatment of localized cancer or within 12 months following this treatment, and having not yet received treatment during metastatic recurrence.

The purpose of Compass is to iquickly identify an effective treatment metastatic triple negative breast cancer in early relapse, identify factors associated with response and resistance to treatments and better understand the biological characteristics of the disease.

LCL has supported this program for 2 years now. The funds collected made it possible to:

  • The recruitment of a medical oncologist and the recruitment of a project manager
  • The design of a site aimed at raising awareness of the program and facilitating the inclusion of patients followed in other centers throughout France.
  • Cooperation with 2 fundamental research and biological analysis laboratories which allows us to better understand the evolution of the disease.

The “50 shades of pink” program

This program consists of adapting medical protocols to preserve the quality of life of women suffering from breast cancer.

More than 30,000 patients per yearsuffering from breast cancer, present an alteration in their quality of life linked to the chronic toxicity of treatments.

The research teams aim toidentify the individual risk of relapse from diagnosis and of understand the biological mechanisms behind toxicities in order to better prevent them.
