El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD Remaster is on its way to PlayStation 5! It was during a live discussion with Denfaminicogamer at Tokyo Game Show 2024 that Sawaki Takeyasu, founder of Crim and director of the game, announced the development of this version.
During their exchange at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Denfaminicogamer pointed out that, since Sawaki Takeyasu owns the rights to El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatronhe is free to manage the license as he wishes. Then explained to him that, rather than focusing solely on financial gains, he could also choose to increase the popularity of the license.
Takeyasu then replied:
It’s true, I can say whatever I want. For example, I never announced it before, but I can now state that a PlayStation 5 version of El Shaddai is in the works.
This announcement should delight fans of the license! As a reminder, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD Remaster is currently available on Switch and PC via Steam. The original game is available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
