Capesterre of Marie-Galante:

The Ti Marie Galantais – Teveka association is organizing two evenings of readings of texts by Caribbean authors, mainly from Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante, around the tangible and intangible heritage of its islands. The public will be able to discover touching texts and participate in stories, which could become the intangible heritage of tomorrow. The reading will be open to all and followed by informal discussions.
Short documentaries on built heritage, such as Habitation Roussel, and intangible heritage, such as gwoka, will also be presented. A film will retrace the history of the lolo man pépé who will host the event, one of the last lolos in activity. The atmosphere of lolo and traditional meals, such as the Bébélé and the Chaudage typical of Marie-Galante, will enrich this experience.
