Due to security concerns, the mayor of Lacaune, Robert Bousquet, took a municipal decree prohibiting access to the domain. On January 7, an official press release was published on the town hall website to remind you that the Nordic hiking area of Picotalen is closed until further notice. The mayor specifies that a emergency call terminal is defective, thus making the security system ineffective. “Given the unreliable mobile network in Picotalen, these terminals are crucial,” he adds.
A decision contested by the former councilor
Some residents, including the former mayor, are offended by this decision. André Cabrol, mayor of the village from 1995 to 2014, speaks in the columns of La Dépêche: “What is broken is the exterior box at the Martinou gîte. But the line is not cut. I regret that the municipality is allowing this situation to drag on, which is not new, since it has been going on for four years.” Sanctions are also provided for offenders.
