Great challenge for Van Assche, Son in the evening
The two French people do not share the same group, and will therefore have to wait until the semi-finals or the final to cross paths. The Blue Group is occupied by Arthur Sonthe Czech Jakub Mensik (48th), the American Learner Tien (122nd) and the Brazilian João Fonseca (145th). The latter is the Parisian’s first opponent, which means that Tien et Mensik will face each other in the other match of the group. Last February, at Rio de Janeirothe talented Brazilian surprised Fils. There is revenge to be taken. On the side of Luca Van Assche in the Red Group, the Tricolore will start against the Chinese Juncheng Shang (50th). Not easy. The two Americans Alex Michelsen (41st) and Nishesh Basavareddy (138th) will then face each other.
Sets in four winning games
The rules are very specific. As in Masterseight players participate and are divided into two groups of four. A final square is formed with the two best from each group, then a final. To win a set, you must win four games, not six, and the doubles lines are removed.
