Sets in four winning games
The rules are very specific. As in the Masters, eight players participate and are divided into two groups of four. A final square is formed with the two best from each group, then a final. To win a set, you must win four games, not six, and the doubles lines are removed.
The title holder Hamad Medjedovic is not yet announced but could well return, he who is today ranked 113th in the world, still among the best prospects in tennis. Winner of two ATP 500 titles in Hamburg and Basel, Arthur Son will come back, just like Alex Michelsenfinalist in Newport and Winston-Salem. Jakub Mensikfinalist in Doha, and Juncheng Shangtitled in Chengdu, will participate for the first time.
