Daniil Medvedev isn't one of the best players in the world for nothing.
Two days after his defeat against Taylor Fritz for his debut at the Turin Masters where he notably exhibited unacceptable behavior, the Russian responded professionally this Tuesday by completely outclassing Alex De Minaur: 6–2, 6–4, in 1h20.
If he had expressed his weariness and explained that he couldn't wait for the season to end at a press conference, the winner of the 2020 edition of the masters tournament brought out his competitive side by putting in a particularly solid match, especially on service (only 9 points lost out of 47 and three double faults).
A victory in two sets which allows him to remain in the race for qualification in the semi‐finals even if he will surely have to take at least one set from Jannik Sinner during his last match to validate his ticket in the famous last four.
