And with this success, the 3e world player, flag bearer for the United States at the 2024 Olympics, became the youngest winner of this tournament, bringing together the eight best players of the season, since the Russian Maria Sharapova in 2004.
She also pocketed a record bonus. At the end of a journey where she notably dominated world No. 2 Iga Swiatek in the group stage and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-final, Coco Gauff received a check for nearly 4.5 million euros. This sum is higher than the 4.1 million received by Australian Ashleigh Barty during the 2019 edition organized in Shenzhen (China).
