ATP – Rolex Masters > Farewell Bercy, Pioline is already planning for La Défense: “We will have a central court with a capacity of more than 16,000 seats, a little more than at the Accor Arena. We are building this huge Lego”

Bercy is definitely over. After the final between Zverev and Humbert brilliantly won by the German, it is time to say goodbye to the courts of the Accord Hotel Arena.

Many memories of these courts will forever be etched in the memories of fans, but for tournament director Cédric Pioline, it is time to look towards a new challenge and the move to La Défense Arena from the next year, as he explained to our colleagues at The Team.

“Twelve months before arriving at the La Défense Arena, everything is not yet finalized, of course. We are going to build something different, the identity in this new enclosure will be built over time and we will do everything to ensure that it is done in the most positive way possible. We will have a central court with a capacity of more than 16,000 seats, a little more than at the Accor Arena. The FFT teams and I are already building this immense Lego to arrive at delivery in 2025.”
