“In my opinion, if players earned a decent living during the season, they wouldn’t feel the need to play exhibitions during slow times. Instead, players (apart from perhaps the top 20) only earn a decent living 4 times a year (the Grand Slam tournaments). So it’s a no-brainer for players to play exhibitions to earn money.”wrote Denis Shapovalov.
