While modern graphics cards display increasingly indecent prices, a manufacturer has chosen to relaunch a 10-year-old model, the Nvidia GT 730. Two versions are available for a pittance.
While the wealthiest PC gamers eagerly await the arrival of Nvidia RTX 50 graphics cards, others will be content to observe them from afar. It must be said that with each new generation, obtaining one becomes more and more expensive. When it was released, the RTX 4090 was sold for €1,949 in France, to name but a few.
Perhaps to take the opposite view of this frantic race, a manufacturer has chosen to relaunch a graphics card that is 10 years old, soon to be 11: the Nvidia GT 730 released in 2014. An updated version to meet today's needs? Not at all, it's the same as back then.
The 2014 Nvidia GT 730 rises from the ashes thanks to this seller
Two versions of the GT 730 are offered by the Chinese Maxsun, one with 2 GB of video memory, the other with 4 GB. Note that it is DDR3 with a 64-bit bus. The frequency of the components is 902 MHz, and a single fan is responsible for cooling them. No worries at this level: the TDP (Thermal Design Power) of these GT 730s is 50 W. That of the RTX 4090for example, is 450 W. Finally, the 3 available video outputs allow you to connect a VGA screen, a DVI and an HDMI 1.4.

According to the benchmarks, the Nvidia GT 730 represents around 2% of the power of an RTX 4090. Suffice to say that it is not she who will run the latest AAA games in Ultra. On the other hand, it will be able to take care of the display of your old screen without problem. The GT 730s are sold between €40 and €50 in China, to which must be added possible import taxes. Don't expect any follow-up from Nvidia, however. There are no more driver or security updates for these cards.
