“What I am going to say to the youth in Grenoble…”

Three thousand young people are expected at tech&fest, Thursday February 6, in Grenoble. What is your message to young people?

“The most important message is that climate change is real. We have all the evidence to confirm this and to show the decline of species and ecosystems. Yes, today there is disinformation to counter this message, although it is very real, but we must stay the course, remain consistent and repeat that changing the world requires courage, passion and imagination. We all have an incredible power to change things, and history has shown us time and time again the virtues of courage, passion, and imagination.

Young people should not be dissuaded by people who tell them: “You can't do that”, “it's impossible”. With courage, passion, imagination, we can make the impossible possible. In 1972, the very idea that Nelson Mandela could one day be president of South Africa was…
