Nearly five years have passed since Beats launched the Powerbeats Pro (currently $159.99 at Amazon). However, it appears the company will be revealing successors soon, having teased the Powerbeats Pro 2 through a short video last September. As a reminder, Beats had announced that the headphones would launch this year, but has not yet provided a specific release date.
Nonetheless, Dealabs and leaker @billbil_kun have released details on colors and pricing, indicating that an official launch is on the horizon. Reportedly, Apple intends to sell all variants for €299.95, which is the recommended retail price for the PowerBeats Pro. That said, the latter originally launched for €50 less in 2019.
Dealabs and @billbil_kun also report that the PowerBeats Pro 2 will be sold in Electic Orange, Jet Black, Quick Sand, and Hyper Purple colorways. The exact date is still to be determined, although Bloomberg says the headphones could go on sale sometime this month. The new earbuds are expected to add features like active noise control (ANC) and spatial audio support to bring them in line with Apple’s recent earbuds.
