And now, the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster to forget the problems

Still in a delicate economic phase even if the brand manages to reduce its losses a little (which were still 32 million euros in the third quarter of 2024), Aston Martin continues to renew all its models. After launching the DB12 coupe and Volante, profoundly improved variants of the previous DB11, then the “new” Vantage and the Vanquish, the Gaydon manufacturer is this time presenting the Vantage Roadster.

On paper, there are absolutely no surprises: like the Vantage coupe launched last spring, it adopts a considerably reworked AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 (665 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque), a chassis with revised suspensions (using Bilstein DTX adaptive shock absorbers), a more efficient ZF automatic gearbox and a more muscular design.

The style of the Roadster is the same as that of the coupe, except for the roof of course.

The Vantage Roadster also progresses a lot, compared to the old version, in terms of its on-board technology with a much more efficient digital interface and finally up-to-date smartphone connectivity. As on the coupe, it will be possible to adjust the dynamic parameters very finely, up to choosing between eight different positions for the traction control in Track mode.

Inside, we find the new dashboard already seen on the coupe (itself close to that of the DB12 as well as the Vanquish).

Prices will start above €200,000

Able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds (a tenth more than the coupe), to go at 325 km/h (exactly like the coupe) and to open or close its convertible top in just 6.8 seconds up to 50 km/h, the Vantage Roadster will most likely start above €200,000 knowing that the coupe already costs €199,663 in price basic.
