Lovers of rugged smartphones will be delighted to learn that the Doogee brand has just announced the arrival of a new member in its impressive family of rugged smartphones. Called S118 Prole Doogee S188 Pro is a high-end version of the S118 all-terrain smartphone.
The Doogee S188 Pro is equipped with the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 memory. The rugged smartphone can be equipped with up to 512 GB of flash storage, which should be enough for the vast majority of use cases. If that’s not enough, the S118 Pro is equipped with a microSD card slot, which allows you to add up to 2TB of additional storage. A 6.6-inch FHD+ display adorns the front of the device, with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480 nits brightness.
The Doogee S118 Pro’s camera setup is quite admirable, at least on paper. On the back, we have a 108 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 20 MP night vision camera. For selfies, a 32 MP camera sits at the top of the screen. A gigantic 10,800 mAh battery is present, which justifies the thickness of the S118 Pro’s chassis. Being a rugged smartphone, the S118 Pro is MIL-STD-810H, IP69K and IP68 certified, with reinforced components and excellent drop protection, as claimed by Doogee. The S118 Pro starts at $359.99 in the US, and comes with a 33-watt charger and USB-C cable included.
