Something new at the planetarium | Le7.info

It’s blowing like a wind of novelty at the Espace Mendès- in . The planetarium renews its films with one objective: “revitalize the programming” thanks to three short films adapted to different age groups.

The Stellars (3-6 years)

Aimed at children aged 3 to 6, Les Stellaires brings what was missing from the planetarium: a film for very young audiences. “For around fifteen years, children could come to see Astronomers in Grass but we had a lot of toddlers. This new film is perfectly suited,” explains Eric Chapelle, astronomy mediator. The story is about three aliens: Imani, Aki and John. One day, during a space exploration, their ship crashes on a planet unknown to them: Earth. The three friends thus discover the biodiversity of this mysterious territory with the help of young spectators during a race against time. The icing on the cake is that “the Espace Mendès-France planetarium is the first in the world to broadcast it in French”!

Hazelnuts, in search of the ideal planet (5-8 years old)

Winner of several festivals, Noisettes, à la recherche de la planet ideal is aimed at a slightly older audience. Nino and Lili, two greedy squirrels, set out in search of super hazelnuts through space. But the trip has its share of surprises. Venus, Neptune, Jupiter and even Mars, all these planets are ultimately very hostile for these two squirrels who suddenly realize their luck: the Earth is precious, it must be protected!

Satelix (from 10 years old)

Using your cell phone, your GPS or predicting the weather, all these actions are possible thanks to satellites. “This film shows the positive side of space exploration which is often confused with conquest. Satellites have made it possible to detect several things such as the decline in the ozone layer, the movement of the seas or the evolution of Mars, which made us wonder about that of the Earth. The images are very, very beautiful and projected all around the viewer, all over the dome. »
