However, those unfamiliar with Chinese will find the translation quality leaves something to be desired, not to mention some player control issues mid-combat, as I feel like I’m being held by the hand throughout the game. I would have liked to have more autonomy in this regard.

This game is currently in beta, and as noted above, it only supports Simplified Chinese, which may detract from the experience for non-Chinese-speaking players. It feels like you’re replaying a poorly translated version of Final Fantasy Tactics from years ago.
