From January 18 to February 2, 2025, the 7th biennial of photography will be held in the large hall of Robien, in Saint-Brieuc. The Objectif image Saint-Brieuc association, in collaboration with the City, presents an exhibition and highlights around photography.
The public will be able to discover more than 400 photos taken by amateur photographers from clubs in the area including Objectif image Saint-Brieuc (organizing club), the Cercle de la Croix-Lambert, the MJC du Plateau, the Photo-club de Ploufragan and Art’iImages by Plérin. According to Jean-Marc Dellac, co-president of the organizing association, “quality and diversity will be there for this biennial edition” with the two guests of honor, professional photographers, Stéphane Mahé and Mélusine Farille, without forgetting Henri Clément, who will present lenticular images.
Meetings with the pros
Other exhibitors will be present including the 2024 national authors’ show with the 16 winning series and Jean-François Baulon, Betoux 2023 prize (name of the founder of Objectif image). Meeting events with photographers are offered on Saturday January 18 at 4 p.m. with Mélusine Farille; Sunday January 19 at 3 p.m. with Stéphane Mahé and Saturday January 25 at 3 p.m. with Henri Clément.
-The Jean-Paul Cudelou prize (creator of the Objectif image Saint-Brieuc club) will be presented on Sunday January 19 at 5 p.m. The introduction to portraiture by Pierre Le Cabec will take place on Sunday January 26 at 3 p.m. Monday January 27 at 6 p.m. a conference at the School of Fine Arts will be presented by Laure Bente, professor of art history, on the photographer Louise Lawler. To close the event, an audiovisual session will take place on Saturday February 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., a selection of slideshows from the objective image national collection.
