LG Electronics unveiled its new collection of audio products including Bluetooth speakers and headphones at CES 2025, in partnership with renowned artist and entrepreneur Will.i.am. This collaboration marks the official launch of the “xboom by Will.i.am” range, following the partnership announcement last December.
Recently named “Experiential Architect” of the LG xboom brand, Will.i.am and LG aim to reposition xboom as a forward-thinking brand, offering a unique and immersive listening experience. All “xboom by Will.i.am” audio products are professionally tuned by Will.i.am to deliver signature xboom sound, known for its balance and warm tones. Their compact and playful design reflects the artist’s creativity, inspired by his experience in pop culture.
The range includes several smart Bluetooth speakers – xboom Bounce, Grab and Stage 301 – all featuring artificial intelligence-based technologies to provide an even more immersive listening experience. Thanks to AI analysis, these speakers automatically adjust AI Sound to enhance music, rhythm or voice depending on the content. The AI Lighting function synchronizes the speakers’ multi-colored light bars with the music to create a unique ambiance. Additionally, AI Calibration instantly adapts sound to the environment, whether indoor or outdoor. For the first time, these speakers also have a dedicated button to directly access Will.i.amv’s RAiDiO.FYI platform, which offers infotainment content personalized by an AI animator.
Users can also amplify their audio experience with the LE Audio Auracast feature, allowing multiple xboom speakers to be connected for synchronized sound. Even without Auracast support, it is possible to synchronize audio between multiple speakers using an xboom as the main unit. xboom speakers are further equipped with full-range tweeters and drivers designed by Peerless, a Danish company specializing in high-end transducers for almost 100 years, to deliver exceptional sound quality.
The flagship of the 2024 range is the xboom Bounce, which combines refined audio quality with elegant design. Thanks to its passive radiators, dome tweeters and Track Type woofer, Bounce delivers high-frequency stereo sound with precise treble and a wide soundstage. The passive heaters bounce and light up to the beat of the music, hence the name “Bounce”. The Bounce is also equipped with a versatile strap for easy transport. With IP67 certified water and dust resistance, and compliant with military durability standard 810G, this robust speaker is ideal for prolonged use thanks to its integrated battery offering up to 30 hours of battery life.
The xboom Grab offers a compact and portable audio experience. Although small in size, it incorporates passive radiators on both sides to deliver dynamic bass. As the name suggests, it is easy to grab and carry. It can be positioned in various orientations and can even be placed in a bicycle bottle holder. With 20 hours of battery life, IP67 certified resistance and compliance with military durability standard 810G, the Grab is ready to accompany all your adventures.
The xboom Stage 301 is designed to transform any space into a true soundstage. Optimized for outdoor performances or karaoke nights, it fills large spaces with its 6.5-inch woofer and midrange drivers. It has a handle for easy transport and a corner design allowing great flexibility in positioning. Water resistant thanks to its IPX4 certification, it has a replaceable battery offering up to 11 hours of autonomy, for hours of uninterrupted entertainment.
The xboom Buds earphones use graphene drivers to deliver pure, well-balanced sound with rich bass, while being lightweight and sturdy. With LG’s Active Noise Canceling technology and LE Audio Auracast functionality, the Buds allow users to share their audio streams with multiple devices simultaneously. They offer up to 30 hours of listening time with their charging case and are IPX4 certified to resist splashes.
