A few months ago, the developer behind Better XCloud revealed that LG TVs should soon support Xbox Cloud Gaming. We didn't have to wait long for the information to be made official, since LG has just announced a partnership with Xbox on this subject.
Xbox Game Pass finally arrives on LG TVs
There are many devices today on which to enjoy the game streaming service included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but Microsoft of course wants to continue to reach more and more gamers. This is why, after making the service compatible with Samsung televisions, or even Amazon Fire TV Sticks, Xbox now wants to reach owners of LG televisions.
Thus, the Xbox application will be integrated into the new LG Smart TVs by the end of the year via the brand new Gaming Portal.
“The LG Gaming Portal offers a comprehensive overview with an app list that includes cloud gaming apps, webOS games playable with the remote, recently played titles, top 10 games, picks writing and other personalized, user-friendly gaming experiences. »
Today, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription grants access to exactly 409 games. It should also be remembered that it is now possible to play a selection of digitally purchased games in the cloud. Unfortunately, the quality of streaming still needs to prove itself and clearly does not allow playing in optimal conditions.
It now remains to be seen whether only the new LG televisions will be compatible with the Xbox application, or whether current owners will also be able to benefit from it. The list of countries in which the application will be supported, as well as the date from which it will be possible to benefit from it, will be announced later.
