The alien ship with six human scientists on board will now observe Saturn. A well-done science popularization series.
Still from the pen of Bruno Lecigne, former editorial editor at Les Humanoids Associés, the six astronauts and international scientists invited by an extraterrestrial nicknamed Clarke to tour the solar system in his ship, are heading this time towards Saturn. A journey obviously impossible today but made easy by Clarke who is looking for his people in distress somewhere but who himself cannot leave his ship. This volume 3 also takes a leap forward concerning this mysterious alien creature and its congeners even if their presence is obviously here above all a pretext to make the Earthlings travel in a “plausible” way.
The astronaut, the planetologist, the engineer specializing in asteroids, the exo-biologist, the chemist-geologist and the computer scientist will therefore share their knowledge and observations in the field. This is an opportunity for the reader to learn a little about the second largest planet in the solar system, about the composition and formation of its impressive rings – undoubtedly much more recent than the planet – and about Titan, the largest of its moons, composed of a dense atmosphere, frozen water and rock. Each volume being entrusted to a different designer, it is the Argentinian Federico Dallocchio who officiates here for a realistic rendering, in line with the other volumes. The whole thing is verified by scientists from the Paris Observatory and the eight-page notebook at the end of the album goes even further into the subject.
Next destination: Uranus.
Designer: Federico Dallocchio – Writer: Bruno Lecigne – Publisher: Glénat, Solar System collection – Price: 15.50 euros.
