In 1981, the group Frégate Orchestra released the title “Syn-ka”. Claude Rodap and Joël Héloïse were the leaders. They were ahead of the synthesizer era. Forty years later, they are back in force with a host of young musicians. The composer Claude and the arranger Joël offered the public a sidereal Christmas as part of the 40th anniversary of OMDAC.
At the Otonom Mawon Theater, at the Croix Mission in Fort-de-France, we don't mess around with digital technology. A wind of freedom and creation blew for the public with the Belétronic group.
Claude, this former engineer, is keen on new technologies. The man masters the technique and he achieves, with humility, feats. In 1982, with Frégate Orchestra, he released the title “Synka” and signed a revolution with his accomplice: the arranger Joël Héloïse.
Forty years later, they come back filled with this enthusiasm, this passion with another technological dimension.
By listening to “Symphony”, not only do we enter a sidereal world, but the vibrations also remind us of “Here’s to Christmas”. It's great art.

The multi-instrumentalist makes progressive music, drawing on traditional roots. No wonder it has become a world reference. The artist mixes electronics and bèlè. This fusion is attractive.
For this “Christmas differently” project, Claude Rodap is on digital guitar, Joel Héloïse is on keyboards, Jean Batiste Jacques Saint prix provides the tempo on bass, while Jean Marc Cabot provides the drum keys. In a fusional harmony, the compositions of Claude Rodap, arranged by Joel Héloïse and sung by Chantal Janvion demonstrate the creativity of a team. This work is significant in Opéra Bambou.
