An Oppo Find X8 with a small battery puts us on the trail of a “Mini” model

A specialist in the methodical observation of certification bodies, GizmoChina seems to have found a concrete clue to the existence of an Oppo Find X8 in “Mini” version.

In parallel with the Find X8 Pro that we have already tested, Oppo is preparing to market its Find X8 Ultra in the ultra high-end segment.

Today we understand that it could also serve us a “Mini” version of its flagship.

In any case, this is what the clues identified by GizmoChina from a Chinese certification body, but also information relayed on Weibo by the leaker DigitalChatStation, often well informed.

In this case, GizmoChina has identified a certification request for a device immediately identified by the references PKH120 / PKH110 (the first visibly referring to a version equipped with satellite connection, the second to the version which is on the contrary devoid).

This smartphone has a modest capacity battery: 5475 mAh, which supports the thesis of a small mobile phone.

The little game of mAh…

According to DigitalChatStation, the battery of this model would max out at a typical capacity of 5600 mAh, but in any case it would remain well below the 6000 mAh expected on the Find X8 Ultra.

For DigitalChatStation, this PKH120 / PKH110 would nevertheless refer to a new Find X8. From there to thinking about a Mini model, there is only one step.

For context, Vivo's X200 Pro Mini, close to Oppo, equipped with a 6.3-inch screen (basically not so “mini”) and a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, has a 5700 mAh… in the same order of magnitude as the device that interests us today.

We should in any case be fixed fairly quickly. The latest rumors to date suggest that Oppo will present its next Find X8 models to us in the first quarter of 2025. It remains to be seen whether we will be entitled to them in . For the moment, only the very good Find X8 Pro has reached us.
