Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim: Leak reveals iPhone 17 Air rival's camera specs

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 series at the upcoming Unpacked event. Although the company hasn't confirmed anything yet, this launch event is apparently scheduled for January 22, which is soon. As the launch draws closer, more information about the upcoming flagship phones is surfacing.

Specifically, a recent leak suggests that the company might announce the rumored Galaxy S25 Slim at the upcoming event. According to rumors, this new phone would be thinner than the standard version, measuring less than 7 mm. The iPhone 17 Air, on the other hand, would measure 6mm thick.

While the Galaxy S25 Slim may not be thinner than the iPhone 17 Air, a new leak suggests it could feature a better camera. To enlighten you, Apple's rumored thin phone could be equipped with a single camera, similar to that of the SE range SE range.

The Galaxy S25 Slim, according to the new report, will feature a premium triple camera setup (current 128GB Pixel 9 Pro XL. $849 at Amazon). This is something that previous rumors have already hinted at, but the new leak shares few details. For example, it says the main camera will be a 200 MP HP5 sensor, which will be paired with a 50 MP JN5 ultra-wide and a 50 MP JN5 3.5x telephoto lens.

Regarding the telephoto lens, Samsung should use its new ALoP technology in order to obtain a thin format. Furthermore, the new leak reiterates previously reported information, such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 6.66-inch display and a battery with a capacity of around 5,000 mAh. Interestingly, this leak claims that the launch is planned for the second quarter of 2025, which does not match recent reports.
