A second Developer Preview for Android 16

Since yesterday, people with a Pixel (at least 6) can get the second Developer Preview. Since these are still early previews, it is not recommended to install it, unless you know precisely what you are doing, as the problems can be numerous.

At this stage, the new features are often under the hood. However, this DP2 includes several improvements on the function side. For example, the possibility of unlocking the device with the fingerprint when the screen is still off. Appearing with the QPR2 version of Android 15, charging rings are present for Bluetooth devices. You can also add a shortcut to the application set by default for taking notes.

There are of course several internal improvements, including the addition of the hasArrSupport() and getSuggestedFrameRate(int) methods so that applications can better take advantage of the adaptive screen refresh (ARR) introduced in Android 15. We also note the possibility in the photo selector to declare cloud providers as sources, support for 802.11az, or even better control of haptic feedback via new APIs.

Remember that from Android 16, the publication rate is changed. The final version will now arrive earlier and will be followed, each time in the fall, by a second evolution of the SDK.
