Stolen smartphone photos revealed ahead of launch

New images of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus have just appeared on the web, confirming a design change for the Galaxy S25 range. These real-life photos, shared by leaker @Jukanlosreve on X, reveal several interesting details about Samsung’s next smartphone.

The photos show a vertical photo module slightly thicker than its predecessor, although partially obscured by tape. At the front, we can also see a particular structure, probably also hidden by ribbon. The Settings app visible in one of the images confirms that it is indeed the Galaxy S25 Plus, bearing the reference SM-S936U.

One intriguing detail particularly caught the eye: a metal strip located under the power button and volume keys. If some saw a similarity with the capacitive button dedicated to the camera of the iPhone 16, it is in reality an mmWave antenna. American versions of Samsung smartphones are entitled to it, but not those sold in .

Snapdragon 8 Elite on all Galaxy S25s?

The model photographed (SM-S936U) will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, contrary to previous rumors which mentioned a possible Exynos 2500. Samsung would reserve its new in-house processor for the second half of 2025, probably for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Let’s remember everything just as this is an American version, which should have used the Qualcomm processor anyway. It now remains to be seen whether the European version will also be entitled to it.

Concerning the technical characteristics, the S25 Plus should offer modest improvements compared to the S24 Plus. The 120Hz 1440p display would remain unchanged, as would the maximum RAM of 12GB and battery capacity of 4700mAh. It is the Galaxy S25 Ultra which should benefit from a brand new screen, which should also break a record upon its release. Good news however: no price increase would be planned.

This design change seems to confirm that Samsung is adopting a more uniform approach for its Galaxy S25 range, like Apple’s strategy with its iPhones. A decision that is not unanimous among fans of the brand, particularly attached to the distinctive style of previous Ultra models. We risk not being entitled to other photos from the smartphone. The informant forgot to hide his identification number in one of the photoswhich will allow Samsung to quickly know who he is.
