Grimaud Frères densifies its presence in the territory

The health crises of the last two years in the Great West have confirmed the importance of extending hatching egg production sites to regions with less density of farms but nevertheless producing poultry. The securing of grandparental selection sites, carried out throughout the years 2007 to 2020, allowed Grimaud Frères to progress towards the objective of dedensification of the Parentales link initiated two years ago and now close to completion.

This project provides for the deployment of laying buildings spread across several departments of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and (east of the great South-West) over the coming months. Thus, the production of Mulards Hytop will be ensured in areas further away from . This relocation will provide more flexibility and facilitate rotation on existing sites while strengthening the position of Grimaud Frères in the waterfowl market. Although costly for the company, this strategy is crucial to guarantee the reliability of agreements with its customers and ensure a long-term supply of day-old ducklings “without interruption”.
