XXL marine reptiles, life-size dinosaurs and multicolored jellyfish… The Jardin des Plantes in Paris is once again hosting its En route d’illumination festival.
After tackling the theme of the jungle and tiny fauna, visitors this time wander through the world of the Jurassic. Made up of more than 800 luminous structures, sometimes life-size and animated, the course offers a magical experience.
An exhibition designed by the Museum teams
“The bias is to show several Jurassic environments. We thus invite visitors to discover dinosaurs, but also other biodiversity that existed at that time. The visitor then discovers high seas environments, lagoons, valleys, marshy environments…” explains Sylvain Charbonnier, paleontologist at the National Museum of Natural History.
The exhibition was considered by scientists for a year, with the help of around thirty scientific researchers. Their mission was then to scientifically reproduce the knowledge of biodiversity of the time and to design majestic light sculptures.
“Jurassic in the process of illumination” is visible until January 19, 2024 at the Jardin des Plantes.
