Much more compact and mobile, picoprojectors are preferred if you are allergic to massive video projectors that are impossible to move from one room to another. One of the brands that dominates the market for compact and easy-to-carry projectors is Nebula, which is owned by Anker. The manufacturer lifted the veil last year on two references, the Capsule 3 and Mars 3 Air. Today, it is the latter that interests us, not only for its very complete technical sheet, but also for its price, which is reduced by 200 euros.

A small block that projects big images
The recent Nebula Mars 3 Air from Anker is therefore one of those video projectors which are very compact and easy to transport. It must be said that with 1.7 kg on the scale and its dimensions of 17.8 x 12.2 x 13.2 cm, it is clearly not the most bulky, quite the contrary. It can therefore be placed on a small side table, or on a piece of furniture in a bedroom. Its movement will also be made easier by its handle on the top. But fortunately its small size does not prevent it from broadcasting images over a large area.
Indeed, the Mars 3 Air is capable of projecting images up to 150 inches in size, in Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). This is more than enough to enjoy maximum detail, and needless to say, such a screen size will completely immerse you in your content, a bit like in the cinema. To make the experience as pleasant as possible, we advise you to have a distance of at least 2 meters, and to immerse yourself in the dark for better visual comfort: the brightness of 400 ANSI lumens is certainly correct, but it’s not really enough to not miss any detail in the image. On the audio side, the video projector is equipped with two 8 W Dolby Audio speakers.
Ideal for SVOD
The Mars 3 Air also offers several features that guarantee a more pleasant viewing experience, such as autofocus, which makes images much sharper by automatically and quickly adapting them to the surface on which they are projected, or even automatic correction trapezoidal distortion, thanks to which images are always well aligned and positioned, without having to move the video projector. Automatic obstacle avoidance is also integrated and allows the image to shift if it is projected towards a decorative object, for example.
The Mars 3 Air is also particularly suitable for streaming platforms like Netflix, which is directly integrated into the device. Google TV is also there and obviously gives native access to the entire Play Store. Finally, in terms of autonomy, the device’s battery allows it to last around 2h30. Ideal for a film, therefore, or several episodes of a series wirelessly, but the option of leaving it plugged in so as not to have the stress of being cut off in the middle of the action obviously exists.
