Windows 11 build 22635.4515 is available, what’s new?

For several days a new build of Windows 11 has been available through the beta channel of the Windows Insider program. Stamped 22635.4515, it is deployed through update KB5046756.

Microsoft continues to refine Windows 11 through experimental features rolled out gradually. Here are the key points of the latest updates offered through Windows 11 build 22635.4515.

Microsoft continues the integration of OneDrive by allowing you to resume a recently modified file on your phone directly on your PC in one click. For this to work you need a personal Microsoft account (not compatible with work or school accounts) and that the file be opened on the phone when the PC is locked, and resumed within 5 minutes of unlocking. Supported file types are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and PDF.

We are also making progress towards managing access keys (passkeys) in collaboration with third-party providers. The new WebAuthn features concern the integration of third-party plugins to manage access keys, compatibility with Windows Hello and APIs available for developers: WebAuthn documentation.

Added to all this are improvements to the Start menu and File Explorer. The Start Menu allows right-clicking and sharing local files in the Recommended section.

For its part, the file explorer benefits from a fix to resolve display problems with the address bar in full screen mode and crashes. At the same time, performance improvements for cloud files are promised.

Finally, the magnifying glass benefits from a new keyboard shortcut, CTRL + ALT + -, to quickly switch between the current zoom and 1x.
