DECRYPTION – Alongside the CEA, the Clinatec research center hopes to treat multiple cerebral and cardiovascular pathologies using photobiomodulation, an approach based on infrared light stimulation.
Heal with light. The idea is not new, and light therapy is already used as a therapeutic ally, for example in sleep disorders and depression to reset the internal clock. More recently, light has been shown to promote cell regeneration, a property that makes it interesting for treating certain side effects of cancer treatments, such as burns caused by radiotherapy.
However, its virtues could extend to many other pathologies, particularly those affecting the brain or the cardiovascular system. This is the subject of several research projects by the start-up Clinatec for the period 2025-2030, the broad outlines of which were revealed during a conference in mid-November.
