Unfortunately, with the arrival of the Xbox One, the follow-up to Avatars has always been disappointing, despite a redesign in 2018, and Microsoft will end the program.
After abandoning its Avatars, Xbox ends the program due to “low engagement”

Microsoft justifies this end of the program by “low engagement”, but it must be said that nothing has really been done to engage players.
“Microsoft is committed to delivering exceptional experiences for gamers, including a variety of options to personalize their gaming experience with Xbox. Due to low engagement and our focus on providing alternative experiences for players, the Xbox Avatar Editor app will no longer be available starting January 9, 2025.”
