Rockstar hints at a new Bully update as part of GTA 6 launch

Given that the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 approach, we can assume that Rockstar Games is currently very busy. But it looks like the developers are finally paying some attention to the old classic game Bully : Scholarship Edition.

As spotted by user X @TezFunz2, there is a new development branch for the game on SteamDB. This branch, called “qabeta”, is password protected, and it is possible that Rockstar Games has already shared this new version of Bully with the testers. However, this new branch may not be a complete overhaul.

While Bully : Scholarship Edition was well received by PC gamers, it nevertheless has some flaws. Players often report unusual crashes and freezes, and Rockstar has not yet released a patch to resolve these issues. With the new branch, developers could therefore correct the game before making GTA+ official for PC.

In case you didn’t know, subscribing to GTA+ has until now been reserved for console players. This subscription is mainly used to access the special benefits of Grand Theft Auto 5. Even if GTA 6 will not be available on PC, the subscription offers free access to many other Rockstar titles, including Bully.

With the GTA+ subscription for PC seemingly on the horizon, Rockstar Games may want new subscribers to be able to enjoy a hassle-free experience with Bully. This will all become clear when the update goes live, which might take a while as the developers are likely busy with GTA 6’s second trailer. GTA 6.
