Disappointed with the rating given by IGN to its horrific video game, the new studio of Keiichiro Toyama (Silent Hill) settles its scores on X
Head down
Have you heard of Bokeh Games? Created by Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of Silent Hill, Siren and Gravity Rush, the studio released its horrific game entitled Slitterhead on November 8.. Mixing action and adventure with many horrific elements, the app immerses the player in the city of Kowlong. He plays a Hyoki, namely a spiritual being capable of controlling human bodies. His mission? Use your powers to hunt down Slitterheads: monstrous brain-eating creatures.
Since its release, opinions have differed as to the qualities of Bokeh Games' software. Even if most critics emphasize its originality and unique gameplay, thanks in particular to the possibility of “possess” different characters, the software is described as repetitive and suffering from technical problems. On Metacritic, Slitterhead's score is 62/100. IGN gave it a score of 5/10, and, obviously, the studio is a little angry with the American site.

But where did the check go, huh?
In his test of Slitterhead, IGN highlights “interesting ideas” who are “never fully exploited”. “Its story is underwhelming and primitive in its presentation, and its time loop structure only serves to mask the fact that it takes about an hour's worth of mission ideas to repeat over and over again over the game's 13 hour duration” we read in the conclusion. This review, as well as the rating of 5/10, annoyed the person who manages Bokeh Games' social networks. On “Hello guys, very nice article, could you start by giving us a better rating? With all my love, Bokeh”, wrote the studio account, as reported NoisyPixel.
A not very fine messagewhich some may consider humorous, which ultimately seems to have embarrassed Bokeh Games enough since it is now deleted. Slitterhead is still there. It is available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
